Aquaphor earns strong reviews and proves effective for dry, irritated skin and lips, with Healing Ointment, Lip Repair, and Lip Repair Stick SPF 30 praised for fast relief, lasting moisture, and versatile use from eczema to post-surgery scars. Reviews also note drawbacks: some lip tube caps crack, textures can feel like basic petroleum jelly on application, and occasional stickiness; overall, the brand’s unscented formulas, overnight staying power, and convenient sticks make it a dependable staple.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
Aquaphor is the best for dry lips and skin. Just after a couple of days, my cracked lips feel smooth. I love the variety of sizes and shapes they sale, I have bought several of them and have found a different use for each one. I swear by this brand
They sell small travel-size tubes one can buy in the drugstore for a fairly reasonable price and then carry in a purse or bag, which are absolute necessities for eczema and other skin conditions just in case of emergencies on the go. It's guaranteed fast relief that will at least tide you over until you can get home or whatever. Granted, they sell larger-sized product as well, of course, but that's the real go-to from this brand for me. I can have a large variety of other products at home, but, when on the go, you really need something effective, fast, and portable. This fits the bill perfectly.
I have chronically dry lips and use Aquaphor Lip repair religiously (specifically the "immediate relief for severely dry lips" version). It does a great job of protecting my lips from further damage and helping rehydrate them. It does feel like basic petroleum jelly upon application, but I find that it typically absorbs into my skin fairly quickly.
