Installed the Adoorn post mount mailbox last week and overall we are very happy with this! Sleek, modern design, very sturdy/durable. We added a 4x4 post (insert in the hollow post) so that we could sink it into concrete for the strongest base. The mailbox was easy to install, price was fair, like the flag design. We spent another $50 on 4x4 interior post. A few things we noted: 1) Door could use a soft close/open type of hinge, when door is just dropped it bangs into the metal post. We added "bumpers" to the post so the door will hit these instead of the metal. Spent $10 on bumpers. 2) Interior of the mailbox needs a better finish. Need a flat bottom inside the mailbox. When you open the mailbox you see the rough bottom with screws showing where center post is mounted. 3) Need gold house number option. Adoorn only offers silver and black numbers that are stick-ons. We purchased brass magnet numbers from Post and Porch. Spent $70 on the numbers.

Great idea on the bumpers and I agree on the need for soft open. the hinge on mine failed after 2 months and completely fell of. Looks like the welds on the hinge failed. So far the customer service has been very responsive. They are sending me a replacement mailbox. I will add the bumpers and see if this helps. I'll draft a better review after we get the new one installed and working
