As someone non-South Asian, this was such a great entry point in trying to make South Asian food! Cooking was as simple as boiling a pot of water and pouring the pre-washed grains/beans in, that were already flavored. Dinner was made in under 30 minutes- with no prep work at all!! Everything was delicious and well seasoned. I'm thinking of sending this to a few friends who are trying to get better at cooking, because this was SO EASY to make, and quite tasty.
If you are an experienced cook and are used to making South Asian dishes, I don't think this is for you. Everything is pre-measured and pre-seasoned, and of course you can add your own flair, but you might like your dishes seasoned YOUR way instead of a pre-mix way.
