Meet Thingtester, Kaylyn Sena
Meet Kaylyn: a CX & Community Manager in the Denver Metro Area who has a thing for brands that are honest, kind, and innovative. She’s always curious to try new products, and just as quick to share her thoughts with the Thingtesting community.

Hi Kaylyn! Introduce yourself to the readers
I am a neurodiverse CX & Community Manager in the Denver Metro Area. I love brands that are honest, kind, and innovative, and this leads me to try a lot of new products. (and then talk to everyone about them) 😇
How did you first discover Thingtesting, and what motivated you to start reviewing products?
I discovered Thingtesting while looking for honest reviews from people whose daily lives felt more like mine. As someone who is neurodiverse and always thinking about how things actually work in real life, I loved seeing unfiltered, thoughtful feedback. That authenticity is what drew me in and what inspired me to start reviewing products myself. I try a lot of things (thanks to equal parts curiosity and my work in CX), and sharing my experiences just feels like second nature.
What’s your favorite part of being a Thingtester?
My favorite part of being a Thingtester is definitely the community. Everyone I’ve connected with, whether in the comments of a review, chatting with a brand founder, or messaging the Thingtesting team, has been so kind, curious, and genuine. It’s really cool to see that there are other people just as hyped about honest reviews (and great brands) as I am.
What are your 5 favorite brands, and what makes them stand out to you?
cocokind - I’ve used cocokind for years, and I keep coming back because they just get it. The products are intentional, clean, and don’t rely on overpromises to prove their spot in your routine. I love that they’re transparent about their ingredients, true to their brand values, and really in tune with their community!
Ayoh! - I didn’t think I could feel strongly about mayo until Ayoh! My personal favorite is the Hot Giardinayo, with the Dill as a runner-up. They're a new pantry staple of mine that has been making my WFH sandwiches feel like a whole lunch event!
Baggu - Baggu constantly nails it for me. Their stuff is useful, cute, and holds up well with use over time. I have more of their reusable bags than I can count, and they make great gifts.
Counterpart - Counterpart is my underrated essential. Their retractable chargers have reduced the chaos in my carry-on, purses, etc. It’s a brilliant, sleek design, and tucking the cord away solves a real problem in my remote working world. I’m always surprised more people aren’t talking about it!
Vacation - Vacation makes SPF that smells amazing, is fun to use, and (most importantly) protects you from the sun. I used the Shimmer Whipped SPF for a recent beach wedding and got tons of compliments. I appreciate them making sun protection feel like Vacation instead of a chore.
What are your 5 favorite products of all time?
Baggu Reusable Bag - A classic that I use constantly.
Counterpart Charger - Sleek, compact, and eliminates cord chaos.
Cocokind Revitalizing Eye Cream - Gentle, effective, and a staple in my routine.
Beis Crescent Catchall - The perfect everyday bag that keeps me organized.
Intelligent Change Quarterly Productivity Planner - A planning system that helps me stay focused without overwhelm.
