    Jolie

    Purchased through a Thingtesting offer

okay, i didn't want to love this. is it really worth *that* much for a shower filter? but my previous shower filter left me with low water pressure and an ugly aesthetic. i live in LA and the hard water is SERIOUS so i absolutely was in the market for an effective solution. i got to try this via thingdrop, but even if i hadn't, i'd shell out the full price because my shower experience is substantially more delightful with the addition of my jolie.

it was truly easy to install, and the directions were really cute. you do need to replace the filter every 3 months, but it feels worth it to me.

    Dieux Skin

dieux is the beauty brand i've repurchased from the most. their ingredient and price transparency is paving the way for clarity and trust in the industry, and their branding is so inviting and discerning. when i tried their moisturizer, i felt like i'd arrived home. few other products have felt so right for my skin.

    Feedback

their subscription offering is really effective. i go through the serum and moisturizer about every 2 months. i do wish there was a larger version of the serum, and that the large moisturizer was offered with the serum in a subscription format.

i'm always looking for ways to mimic the feeling of a cocktail, but i'm drinking less alcohol these days, and aplós really meets the moment. i got to try it when they first launched and i can't wait to try it again and give it a permanent home on my bar cart as the weather's getting warmer.

it's a gorgeous light taste that pairs well with bubbly water and fruit, or whatever other concoctions you desire.

i've been using the perk up dry shampoo and soulfood nourishing mask for 10 years. the scent is divine and the products work. i've used so many products in their line — from blonde shampoos to their incredible hot tools. they're such a fun brand, always innovating, but never complicating what they're good at — quality haircare that makes you feel good.

    Feedback

if you could only get one product from amika, start with the soulfood nourishing mask. i use it once a week and leave it on for 10 min. hair is considerably softer and shinier.

    Bala

i love my bala bangles. they look chic as hell, and as an LA girlie, these are really fun and easy to add as ankle weights on my stupid little mental health walks. i have two colors in two different sizes, and the weights (so chic). i've gifted bala bangles to many a friend!

    Feedback

it's sometimes a challenge to wear the wrist weights with my apple watch when i'm doing certain exercises because they can shift on my arm. and the velcro sometimes needs adjusting. but it's especially great for low impact workouts.

beautiful scents, beautiful presentation, and their limited edition scent collabs always hit. such a giftable product (for yourself, too!).

    Feedback

check out their mini sets or limited edition collabs for gift ideas. and their jumbo sizes are really amazing!

    Chillhouse

i've purchased chill tips for more than one wedding i've attended, and my life has changed forever. i used to spend upwards of $150 to get gel extensions with designs, which i absolutely loved, but my bank account did not. these are so easy to use, and at the price of a regular old manicure, it's so worth it. i've worn each set for almost a week and a half.

    Feedback

really fun designs and many different nail shape sizes (i have tiny fingernails). i wish they had a few more classic or fancy options. also, it's a bit of a learning curve to use nail glue (i stuck all my fingers together the first time), so a video tutorial with tips for common mistakes would be really helpful.

    Italic

i'm a luxury candle bitch. unfortunately, i like scent burning throughout my home constantly, which means i go through candles often. italic makes some of the best smelling and quality candles for a fraction of the price (only $18). i've gotten the 4-pack twice, but my favorite scent is oud rosewood.

    Feedback

i wish they had more scents, or at least limited edition scents, and i wish they came in a 3-wick format. also their catalog of other goods is impressive but sometimes overwhelming to navigate. i'd welcome more curation from their site.

    Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams

    Juliette DLevel 2 11 Reviews

quite possibly the best ice cream i've ever had? in LA, people love salt and straw. it's trash compared to jeni's. jeni's has perfected the ratio of ice cream to complementary ingredients. it's just really goddamn simply good.

just try it, you won't be disappointed.

    Oatly

oatly was GOAT for a while. but then we realized it was just vegetable oil with cute branding. don't get me wrong, i still get my oat milk lattes with oatly, but at home i'm using elmhurst farms or willa — just oats and water and a little salt (and maybe cane sugar if you want it sweet). that's all oat milk should be.

    Feedback

tastes amazing, but there are oat milks out there that don't have all the gums and additives.
