As a mom of a recently diagnosed child with celiac, we've made our whole household gluten free. This brand has been a life saver. The chips are delicious and their GF tortillas are excellent too. I really appreciate their commitment to providing grain free foods. It also ensures that there is no cross contamination in their processing plant or facilities. I wish more companies were like them.

This wonderful French brand of teas dates back to 1854. They have wonderful mixes of flavored teas with exotic names: from Earl Grey French Blue to Marco Polo. from Wedding Imperial to Bouddha Bleu. The teas come in beautiful trademark black tins with yellow labels. The brand started to its lovely tea shop in the Marais in Paris on rue du Bourg Tibourg. If you are a tea lover, this the Dom or Krug of teas!

I was gifted a bunch of TP from Who Gives A Crap during the pandemic. I love their colorful eco friendly packaging with fun sayings, it brightened up my shelves. I also love that they have a roll wrapped in red called the “Emergency Roll” to alert you that you are on your last roll. Loved the eco friendly sustainable TP (either made from bamboo or recycled fibers) but most importantly love their mission: they donate 50% of profits to ensure everyone has access to clean water and a toilet, to prevent the spread of diarrheal diseases in the 3rd World.

Their outerwear is well constructed and durable. It will keep you warm in the harshest weather and is quite fashionable too. It has a great resale value (if your child grows out of it) The company also offers repair services so they will repair your old jacket rather than it going to a land fill. I also love the founder Yvon Chouinard’s outlook and their environmental mission.

Having made my household fully GF after my son’s celiac diagnosis, this was a great option. It is quite tasty and holds up better than the rice based pastas out there. While it is more expensive than Barilla GF pasta, it does have a higher protein content. My son was not a complete fan, but I thought it tasted great.

After seeing their ads of how they use the same Longsheng rice formula inspired by the ancient haircare rituals of the Red Yao tribe, I was expecting better results. But to me the product is just expensive and gimmicky. It left my hair dull and the conditioner bar made my hair very greasy and heavy, even if I used it sparingly. It was time consuming to rub the bar between the hands to get the lather to wash my hair, and to apply the conditioner bar. Overall I did not see an improvement in my hair strength, shine or growth. There are far less expensive shampoo bars out there (the Trader Joe’s one does a far better job at a fraction of the price) and other products such as Vegamour which are way better to restore hair growth. I decided not to renew my order- I do find it suspicious that they only have 5 star reviews on their website.

I ordered a number of deodorants from Lume over the years. I wanted to use something healthy, aluminum free and designed by a female doctor. I thought their ads were very funny and took the stigma out of odor. I also liked the fact that it could be used on your feet and other areas that were prone to sweating. For me, it never lasted the 24 or 48 hours it claimed and it was not for lack of application of product. I shower thoroughly every morning but by 5 pm its efficacy had worn off. I got tired of smelling my own BO. It made me embarrassed at social functions. One day I went on a hike with a friend, just after showering and I really stank. I was so embarrassed. For what they charge they are not that effective in banishing armpit odor and there are other products out there that are far more efficient. So I ended up giving up on Lume. Fortunately there are many other products (and deodorant sprays that are aluminium free) out there now and I am much happier.

The shipping charges are very high and there are no small sizes available if you wish to try a new scent other than ordering a whole bundle.

This is known as the smallest perfume laboratory in the world - it's called Carthusia, Latin for 'charterhouse' because the original recipe for the perfumes was developed by Carthusian monks on the island of Capri in 14th century. The perfumes are really exquisite and beautifully balanced - not overly girly or floral. If you are a fan of Santa Maria Novella, this is a step up in terms of formula, packaging and fragrance duration and pillage.

Love the gorgeous bottles emblazoned with the flower siren. Bought in a beautiful boutique in Rome with great service, so have not ordered online. They also sell beautiful scented candles, reed diffusers and soaps. Their website gives a lot of information as to their head, heart and base notes.

We bought this after my son was diagnosed with celiac and the whole household went gluten free. While I appreciate the existence of GF cookies on the shelf, I am not a fan of the product - given the price point I would expect a better taste. Their Chocolate chip cookies are incredibly dry and tasteless. It was like eating sand and cardboard. We decided not to try other flavors after everyone in the household was not a fan.

Just started using it and love how it feels on the skin. The vibrating massage and the heat are very pleasant. Have not used it long enough to post before and after pictures but looking forward to the results.
