This underwear is truly unique - the fabric is unlike anything else I've ever tried. I didn't think I needed or wanted new underwear, but after trying one pair, it's now my new favorite underwear.

I was in the market for a new carry-on but didn't like Away because they have Away labeled all over the inside of their luggage. The Monos aesthetic looked cleaner and more beautiful. Despite extensively reading through the reviews on Monos' website and a Business Insider review on the brand, no one mentioned design flaws that were apparent as soon as I opened the luggage. The front flap for laptops is great when the luggage is standing up but doesn't work if your luggage is down (as it would be once you arrive at your destination). The zipper handles are short and they get stuck in the groove when you trip to unzip. Worse, on the main part of the luggage, the zipper handles have these extra pieces that are part of the locking system, and these hurt your hands every time you need to use your zipper. The returns process is fairly difficult and expensive. You have to send photos of your luggage and the return shipping cost that they charge you is $40. To be "more sustainable" they offer for you to keep the luggage for an additional 15% off. It took a long time to get a response from customer service, and a month later, they still hadn't processed the refund and only did so after I reached out to them. The color of the luggage is very nice, and I like all of the pockets and lining they've created, so there's definitely a lot of potential there. I would actually be interested to try their other line but don't want to pay $40 for return shipping again in case it doesn't work out so haven't ordered from them again.

    M. Gemi offers handmade Italian shoes at affordable prices (relatively speaking). And if you're looking for something dressier than sneakers for a decent price, M. Gemi's Felize Mules are really great! They are super comfy and easy to take on and off as well. However, I've tried other shoes from M. Gemi, including sneakers, and not found them as comfortable or great and returned them, so not sure if I'm a huge fan of the brand overall, but I'm definitely a fan of my Felize Mules.

    Bombas

I love this company's ethos but am disappointed by their products. I kept hearing about Bombas and how they give away one pair of socks to someone who is homeless for every pair bought, and I really love that they are doing this. And the people who work there seem to love it too (check Glassdoor). So I was excited to try them out and support this company! I went on the website, and the socks looked really cool and fun, and I decided to order a bunch of them for myself and my kiddo - some even matching sets. The socks seems really well made - have been wearing for 3 months now, and no holes or signs of wear yet, but they are too tight on the top by the leg and leave marks at the end of the day. And we've tried different types of socks - the performance cycling socks, the lightweight calf socks, the Sesame Street socks. I have other socks from Uniqlo, Stance, Gap and Banana Republic, and none of these socks do this. I'm thinking that this can't be good for circulation, so, sadly, I'm considering getting rid of these socks or recycling them to turn them into puppets or other projects my kiddo can do.

Change the socks so that they're not too tight at the top, leaving marks on the skin.

    Kiwi Co

We LOVE KiwiCo! Their crates are so creative and well done. They contain all of the materials needed for the project plus a wonderfully detailed and beautifully designed instruction booklet, and all of the Doodle crates and some of the Tinker crates come with a link to a video tutorial you can watch. I hardly ever subscribe to boxes or products on a monthly service, but KiwiCo is an exception. (You can also try it out by buying a single crate from their store.) They also ship internationally if you want to gift this for someone who is abroad, which we did. Has also been recommended by Wirecutter as best subscription for kids and I couldn't agree more - one of the few startups that I feel are truly innovative and offer an exceptional product.

Their platform often has bugs, and I've had difficulty checking out on a couple of occassions. Also, while they have a decent selection in their store, you can't buy all of the crates you get, so even if you particularly loved one, you might not be able to gift it.
