The head is a little large, so getting into tight areas can be tougher, but I've shaved *everywhere* head to toe with The Leaf and it can tackle it all. The Twig, the smaller razor, is great for shaving tight spaces.

Full transparency: I'm a founder haha. But look, I started shaving my head during the pandemic because... haircuts (and yeah maybe another reason or two) and one of the things that I was concerned about was how the shave was going to go. I always struggled shaving my face with traditional cartridge razors, ingrowns, razor irritation, poor experience all around. 

With The Leaf, I was finally able to step into the shoes of one of our important segment of users, folks shaving their dome, and I realized the full potential of this beautiful little razor. It's smooth, FAST, easy, safe and comfortable. I now enjoy shaving and I've fallen in love all over again with this innovative tool.

I love the way my razor works and I’m a fan of the thought that went into the design. 

I get a very close shave. The weighty material and matte black finish feel and look good. I bought a holder for it elsewhere. 

The only downside for me is it seems buying their brand-specific replacement blades is necessary. So far I’ve tried one off-brand from Germany and the fit was off, making the blades slightly crooked. 

I haven’t tried traveling with it in case my replacement blades are confiscated from my carry-on. 

I would be really interested in trying this product. I've heard great things and that it leaves a nice clean shave. I think it would be create for the legs and bikini line. 

great sustainable razor. my boyfriend and I both have our own and we will never go back to throwing away razors. Changing out the blades are super quick and easy and as a woman I know it seems scary but I can shave just as fast as I did when using any other kind of razor. The biggest comments I get from my friends is how they would be too scared to cut themselves.  As long as you are well moisturized the razors should just glide across your skin getting you a close shave. I won't say I have never cut myself but it is no more as I had using any other razor.  Highly recommend to anyone wanting to make the switch to something more sustainable.

After using up all remaining 'normal' (aka plastic edged) razor cartridges in my home, I purchased a Leaf razor. I really like the concept of recycling the blades (although most municipal recylcing programs will not take them - need to send them into the company) and not creating more landfill. 

I was a bit nervous and figured I would have a couple nicks and cuts after my first attempt. Not at all!

The head is remarkably flexible, loading the razor cartridges was very straightforward (there is a youtube video they recommend viewing) and the shave was close and seamless. You MUST get the silicone sleeve for the handle - far too slippery without it. Very excited to continue to use this!

For years I've been shaving my head with a cartridge razor and it was awful.  Even with a good brush and some excellent shave soap, the process took forever, was painful, and was generally unpleasant.  I'd been researching safety and DE razors that were good for head shaving, and found that Leaf was repeatedly mentioned as a favorite.  Lucky for me, my wife had one that she wasn't using very much, so I ordered some blades to try and off I went.  This thing is AMAZING.  I still don't love having to shave my head all the time, but with the Leaf I really don't mind it as much.  It's faster, more comfortable, and gives a better shave than the cartridges, and I can't imagine using anything else.  

One important thing worth mentioning is that the Leaf is pretty heavy when you compare it to a cartridge razor and if you're using it for wet shaving, the grip ($5 from their site) is a must.

For anyone curious, I'm using Nacet blades at the moment and they've been great.  Planning to try some others to see what works best.

I love my razor from Leaf. It is really effective and so easy to switch out the blades. Plus, the refill blades are so much more affordable than the equivalent heads for other razors on the market. I also love how low the waste is for this product, since the blades are the only disposable part and they are recyclable.
My only feedback is that since the razor is metal, it is so slippery and hard to use in the shower unless you buy the silicone sleeve to go over the handle. I would prefer if that was included as part of the razor to begin with.

Love this brand. Sustainable, clean, and stylish! It was an investment but now it seems like I never have to buy refills! They last so long.

i’ve had the leaf razor for a few years now. i’m still a big fan but i think I also like the sustainability behind the brand enough to excuse the downsides of easier knicking and not as close of a shave as you might get with a disposable (at least that’s what i’ve found) . Personally for arms and legs, i’m fine with the level of closeness and for the knicking part i def think it’s a learning curve like nowadays i hardly find that to be the case but i do still have a scar from my first time use 🙃 (but perhaps that was a user error on my part. 

Perhaps consider greater discounts to your loyalists when new products drop.

I love my Leaf Shave razor so much! I purchased my first one over a year ago and it has since evolved to become my husbands razor. We then purchased the Twig and most recently purchased another Leaf so we don’t have to share anymore! Love the great color discounts that happen sporadically on the website, which caused my most recent impulse to purchase the Mercury Leaf a few weeks ago. Super happy y’all also finally came out with the carrying case for it! We’ve waited years! 

Note: experienced the amazing customer service when we had an issue with the first razor and without a second thought, they sent a new one out and we returned the old to be recycled. 

Getting into tight areas like below the nose can be tricky with the Leaf Razor, but is where the twig razor comes in clutch

I've tried a handful of Razors (from Gillette to DSC to Harry's to Bevel to Electric) and after one shave I can honestly say this is hands down the best razor I've used. (mainly talking about the Leaf razor, I was sent the Twig as well that does come in handy though) No nicks or pain on a length that would normally be masochistic to try and shave with any other razor.

I wish there was a reusable case or protective cover I could put on the dermaplane. I want to bring it with me when I travel and the paper box is already getting a little warped and bent out of shape, and it'd be nice to have a way to bring it with me places without such a big paper box and all the extra blades, etc.

I bought the new dermaplane from Leaf and it was my first purchase from the brand. I'd been enticed by their razors for years but they felt a little pricey for me, so this lower cost product felt like a really good way to get through the door.

I've had dermaplanes before from other brands, but the reason I felt compelled to buy another despite having some was just because changing the blades has been so difficult and kind of a different process for every brand. (FWIW, I was using another sustainable dermaplane from Rout.)

The Leaf dermaplane is honestly the best one I've ever used. It came with extra blades and the box has clear instructions about how to change the blades. 

Most importantly, it worked really well and sits very smooth in the hand. I'd say the handle was almost ergonomic.

Packaging was all super sustainable and shipping was really fast. I'm really impressed with Leaf and my experience with their Thingdrop convinced me to buy some of their other full price products. 

I was intimidated using the leaf shave dermaplaner at first but they provide a QR code with clear video instructions and the dermaplaner includes a safeguard which makes the process feel safer! 

It shaved the hair on my face smoothly and really cleaned up my eyebrows I didn’t even have to apply a lot of pressure for it to work! 
 

I suggest newcomers take a look at the introductory guide included in the package, which provides a QR code linking to a helpful instructional video for dermaplaning newbies like myself. These resources made the process extremely approachable!

After years of suffering through wax strips  that left my skin irritated, stinging, and patchy with straggler hairs, I was intrigued to learn about dermaplaning as a waxing alternative when I came across the Leaf ThingDrop. I took the plunge and ordered their dermaplane, and after a week of working up the courage, I took it on its maiden voyage. What an upgrade! Though daunting at first, the process was simple, painless, and effective — it removed far more hair than wax strips ever did for me, and my skin was left supple and irritation-free. The tool is evidently high-quality in its material and craftsmanship, making it a pleasure to use. I will say I got a little careless once I got the feel for how to dermaplane, and I did accidentally knick myself, but that was purely the result of user error. Just stay steady and slow and you’ll be good to go. Recommend!

The only thing I did not like is that it didn't come with a cover. Since the blade is really sharp, I think it's unsafe to not provide customers with a safety cover. Instead, it's an additional charge of $9 (which wasn't offered on Thingtesting). 

I hadn't heard of this brand before but was pleasantly surprised. I'm receiving laser hair removal treatments, but need to shave occasionally. So discovering a plastic-free, zero-waste dermaplaner was perfect. I love that it removes the fuzz while exfoliating my skin and removes dead skin cells.  The shave is so close, which is something you can’t get with other cheap dermaplaners.

It also comes with recyclable refills and plastic-free packaging; and the company says the product is an 'Accessible Luxury' because the refills cost 1/8 less than other high-end refills––which is amazing in my book. 

Caused a lot of cuts with 3 blades in.
Magnets seem to be a problem - they do not stay in and their solution for it is not the best: fix it yourself? or ship it back and be without a razor for who knows how long or go buy a plastic one for the interim which is what I am trying to avoid with this pricey purchase!
The photo has a pic of the magnet they want me to try to super glue back in - it is about the size of a pinhead - yes this will go well!

Cut me up quite a bit on first use and the second use and one of then one of the magnets came out.  
I took one of the three blades out and it seems to be not causing so many injuries now.
When I did take the middle blade out one of the magnets came out with it. The tiniest thing you have ever seen and I only just happened to notice it.
I contacted customer service and they gave me two choices - I super glue it back in myself taking care not to get the glue anywhere else on the razor parts or I can ship it back...
Still haven't decided which option I will use but feel like this should be a bit better for the price paid.
And now given what I need to do they should at least offer to send a few replacement razor blades for the trouble...

I will note that the Leaf Razor should include the silicone sleeve that is sold under their accesories. I shaved without it for the first couple of times and found the razor hard to manipulate when wet. The sleeve is in my opinion a "must," especially for the unexperienced. 

I also use regular replacement blades from Amazon, no need to buy from Leaf directly.

Solid 10/10. I bought the Leaf Razor over two years ago and their Dermaplanner about one month ago. Although they might look intimidating, they're both really easy to use with a minimal learning curve. The weight of both razors makes it easy to manipulate them, I've never experienced any cuts and I use the Leaf Razor for my *entire* female body. 

The price of the products is justified, I can't fathom how much I've saved on blade replacements, plus how much plastic/packaging I'm saving.  The Leaf Razor really does stand the test of time, 2+ years in and it still looks and feels brand new. 

The dermaplanner gave me the cleanest shave I've experienced, compared to the cheaper, plastic alternatives - I use it almost twice a month.

All in all, I've found both pieces to be solid investments that stand the test time of and deliver the best shave ever. 

I would love a take back program or something for the blades.

This is my razor of choice. I have the Twig in the rainbow color. This thing seriously saved my face. I was using a 6-blade mess of a razor that would tug and pull. The Leaf Twig doesn't do any of that. I get a perfect shave every time. 

the best! I have bought the derma planer, razor from Leaf Shave and it is worth the money! I love how easy it is to change the blades, the quality, and a smooth shave each time. 

Not only is this razor beautiful, the refills are super cheap. I only use two blades at a time, otherwise I get cuts on my shins, ankle and knees as my legs tend to be bony :) It does not rust, even though I leave it in my shower and don't dry it like you are supposed to. I am happy to pay the expensive up-front cost to be able to never have to buy a plastic razor or refill again.
