Excellent branding and a very solid product. This was my first intro to chili crisp and definitely got me hooked - I put it on everything now. Flavor and crunch is great. Not too spicy; the overall spice level is lower than other brands I've tried. I've only tried the basic chili crisp flavor though, so other flavors may vary.

That being said, in terms of flavor I don't think the basic chili crisp they sell necessarily has a huge leg up on the run-of-the mill brands that I can find in my local grocery store. There's definitely a premium on the price for the cute branding. But, it's a cute product and very tasty, so definitely worth the price if you haven't tried chili crisp before, appreciate the well-designed packaging, or just can't find a more run-of-the-mill brand where you shop. 

in comparison to Laoganma or Momofuku, there's a lot less actual flavor (msg salty garlicy dried bean chunks) and rather it's more of a spicy oil. I'm sad because it says "crisp" but WHERE IS THE CRISP??? WHERE IS IT???

As avid chili oil fans, we were really excited to try a more premium version of our dumpling restaurant favorite. The colorful packaging is captivating and jumps off of the shelf. Unfortunately, the quality of this product paired to our less premium favorite. Upon opening the lid, the ratio of Sichuan Chili Crisp spices to oil seemed off. It was primarily oil, without enough spice/seasoning. Thus, we found ourselves digging to the very bottom for a better ratio, which eventually has left us with a jar of oil without seasoning. If Fly by Jing could improve the spice to oil ratio, this would be a winner. As it is now, and for the premium price, we will pass on future purchases.

I was so looking forward to trying Fly by Jing's Chili Crisp oil. I love chili oils and I've seen so much hype about this product that I couldn't wait to try it. My local grocery stores didn't carry it so I wound up having to order it online. I found it to be mostly oil with minimal spices and no "crisp." In all, it was okay. I used it on broccoli and then on noodles. It had a mild flavor, overly oily (yes, I know it's oil) , and only slightly spicy. I will use the rest of this jar on other foods but I don't know if I would purchase it again. 

The flavors are much more rich than other chili crisps that I've had. There are other spices that really enhance the overall flavor. It feels much more authentic and adds a lot of flavor rather than just spice. It isn't very spicy though, nor is it very crispy (compared to the Momofuku chili crisp). Will definitely try some of their other items!

Love Fly by Jing. Great flavor for both the Zhong sauce and chili sauce. Lasts quite a while. I’ve tried their collaboration with Fishwife and it’s extremely tasty!

I've seen Fly by Jing everywhere but never had the opportunity to try (since I had a bottle of Lao Gan Ma always). However, I LOVED the Sichuan Chili Crisp on my eggs in the morning. Great overall flavoring and not too much heat. I could see why the offered the Xtra Spicy Chili Crisp. Looking forward to trying out the other flavors!

Awesome flavor, a really great addition to seriously any meal. Love adding some chili crisp to eggs in the morning. Love the wide availability as well; target, sprouts, etc. 

Honestly, it’s not bad it’s just not what I was expecting. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be a chili oil or just a sauce. I was expecting a more traditional flavor, so I mean get it it’s good, but just know that. 

I have tried the sichuan chili crisp as a topping to a few dishes I have made and it definitely adds a lot of flavor and spice. You do have to be careful to not use too much unless you can handle it but I love it even on vegetables for some extra flavor and crunch.
