Dirty Labs is a cleaning innovations lab on a mission to make petrochemical-based cleaners obsolete. 

We founded Dirty Labs to create the change we want to see in the cleaning industry — a sustainable, biobased approach to cleaning that’s rooted in science and aligned with nature. Too many cleaners today still rely on petrochemicals and harsh synthetics that pollute the environment and our drinking water. About 40 billion loads of laundry are done in the United States each year. Most of those loads include hazardous chemicals, including EPA classified carcinogens, that enter into our water supply.

By utilizing breakthroughs in green chemistry, our team of chemists and environmentalists are out to prove that sustainable, biobased cleaners can actually work. Thank you for your review, Allison!  One thing that helps keep the bottle from getting sticky is pouring the detergent slowly and then twisting the bottle at the end of the pour. Then you put the silicone beaker (detergent and all) into the washing machine drum or the detergent tray. That way all of the detergent gets used and your beaker comes out clean.

We also now offer a glass dispenser with a pump!

Trying this product was a great opportunity. I think that the ingredients and the overall product itself has been very impressive and I’m looking forward to trying it again.

For safety and environmental reasons, we've created our products to leave subtle scents after washing, but we do offer scent oil for the dryer balls in both Signature and Murasaki if you're wanting a boost!

I've tried both the Laundry and Dishwashing products. Both work well in terms of cleaning, for green products they are among the most effective. Very very subtle scents. 

The downside is the packaging of both is terrible, very messy. Almost always some powder ends up on my countertop and/or floor, and the liquid detergent bottle is always sticky with drips. I continue to buy because its so effective, but I removed a star for packaging issues throughout the line. 

Love it!  Work well and is super easy to use.

I waited until I had washed two loads, but I guess I didn’t think much of the scent and it’s overall quality was fine.

I've been using dirty labs for a couple years now! They are fantastic! All of their products smell and work amazingly well! They also have the best unscented stuff too. 

My partner and I are both chefs, so we always have all forms and sorts of stains. Dirty labs always removes and lift them from our chef jackets with few problems. Their detergent is great by itself, but in combination with the Stain remover+Booster, it really works well to remove stains and odors. 

Their dishwasher detergent is also fantastic, and is one of the only eco friendly brands that actually work well. I've tried several others and each time I feel like they either are not very powerful, or leave behind a film or something. Dirty labs always leave my dishes clean and shiny! 

Their scents are also amazing by themselves too, I even have their candle!

If you need a product that actually works, and also happens to be both eco friendly, and non toxic, Dirty Labs is without question a good Brand! 

My FAVORITE detergent. Yes it’s great for the environment, but it actually outperforms on stain removal in the wash vs all the “recommended” brands you can buy. I was shocked. Smells great, works beyond great, and is safe for the planet-it’s a no brainer for me. 

Best smelling detergent! I use such a small amount and it cleans my full load. Even clothes dirtied by my Labrador Retriever! 

I love the fact that one little cap of this stuff cleans a whole load of laundry. I just wish the amazing scent was just a little bit stronger. I’m probably in the minority, but I like opening the dryer and smelling like essential oils. Otherwise, this stuff packs a punch! I bought one in each scent, and I love them both!

So happy to have tried Dirty Labs! I picked a bottle up from Whole Foods and the Murasaki scent is SO nice! I had just come back from a 10 day vacation and really needed some stinky stuff washed and it did the trick. I like how effective it cleaned for such a small container. I can't wait to try the other scents!

I recently had the opportunity to pick up a Dirty Labs Product from Whole Foods at a discounted price in exchange for my honest thoughts and feedback. Upon trying this product, I was a little taken back by the size of the cap which is basically used to measure the amount of detergent per load. The detergent is concentrated and it does state that on the instructions. After washing a load of laundry and hanging them to dry,  as I always do, I was quite impressed with the results and more so that a tiny cap of detergent worked pretty well. I have to say that the Dirty Labs detergent works well and I will be purchasing again in the future. I recommend the Dirty Labs Laundry Detergent to all of my friends and family.

I found this brand randomly when I fell into a Google hole about enzyme cleaners and ordered the detergent in the Magnolia, Cedar, Bergamot scent and the booster. 

First off, it smells SO GOOD. I would buy so many products in this scent 🤌🏻 the bergamot and cedar give it a fresh, clean, almost masculine smell but the magnolia gives a bit of sweetness that helps to keep it more neutral. I am so eager to smell the other scent now.

One of the biggest reasons I was looking for a new detergent was because the basic detergent pods I was using from Costco was leaving soap scum marks on all my clothes no matter what I did and while I like Tide powder, which also has enzymes, I feel like it's too harsh for some of my clothes, so I only use it for towels and sheets.

So far, I'm very pleased. No soap scum marks, and my clothes feel clean. (Please note, I haven't test it on difficult stains, I don't have children that really put those kinds of things to the test!) I love how the scent gently lingers for a day or two after washing as well. 

As someone who has lived in the city and very, very tiny apartments, the concentrated formula & small bottle is also great.

As far as downsides go, I don't really have any. Of course, it's definitely more expensive than regular detergents, but I think it's better quality product and the packaging is much better than most as well. I see a lot of complaints online about the packaging being messy but I'm not sure how it's any more messy than regular laundry detergent. If anything, because of it's small size, it's been much easier for me to keep clean rather than the giant jugs of detergent which I've had leak all over in the past.

This will definitely be my new go-to detergent, I hope they come out with more scents or more products in their line with the scents 🤞🏻

Obsessed! The fragrance used for these laundry detergents are phenomenal. The fact that you don’t have to use much plus the eco friendly packaging makes it worth the price.

Tried the 2-in-1 Bio Enzyme Dishwasher Detergent + Booster in the Free & Clear (Fragrance Free) as well as Aestival (Yuzu, Geranium, Lemon Balm)! Both do a fantastic job but I have leaned more towards the fragrance free, I feel like it works better than the scented one. They both do a fantastic job on my dishes nonetheless and I’m nearly finished with job containers (I switch back and forth). I’ve started noticing that residue is still left behind (I do use the recommended scoop size for load size) and occasionally I have noticed a dish not get all the way clean but each product still does the job and doesn’t leave my glasses tasting weird (which is a big plus)!

The small amount required for a full load of laundry worked great, and smelled fantastic! The laundry felt & smelled clean and fresh. I love the non- plastic recyclable container. 

I love the scent, it’s not overpowering and seems very calming. I’ve used it several times with good results. Hopefully I’ll be challenging it more in the future. It is a bit more costly than others I have used though. 

I bought two scents and they were both amazing. Laundry detergent can be so toxic so I was so happy with how well these cleaned and left my clothes smelling great but not like aggressive detergents. 

Bottles were also sleek and easy to store. The silicone pour cap was also a nice touch and made things easy to measure! 

When people say "my clothes have never been cleaner" it always felt like a scam -- until now. Seriously, my clothes are so clean! Scents are mild and natural, plus there's an unscented if it's not your vibe. Love the detergent, love the recyclability, love the deep clean my clothes are getting. This is my new default detergent.

Such a great product and thank you for the experience of trying it! I like the compact size but still the full punch for what needs done ✔️ 

This is my favorite laundry detergent. It smells so good and gets my clothes clean. A little goes a long way.  I was looking for a natural soap to replace Mrs Meyer’s and this works wonderfully. Great for people with allergies and sensitive skin. 

I have used the silk and wool wash for delicates. The detergent works well and doesn’t not have a scent. However, I find the bottle design is very messy. I do like that the metal bottle is infinitely recyclable.
