really great branding and ethos - but I don't know how much the products actually do for my scalp. I love the smell and texture of the curl line, and the oil is really yummy smelling too. 

I recently tried about 9 products from ceremonia and almost every single one was amazing. Only two products didn’t work for my hair type but I imagine they will be great for people with thicker or curlier hair than me. Everything smells amazing  and the products actually do what they say they do 

I bought the thick hair shampoo and conditioner (full size) and leave-in conditioner at the Sephora sale. Enticed by the guava scent and branding and thought that the price was actually great for a full hair care set in this space.  When I received the order, I was surprised by how small the bottles were. Explains the price seeming more reasonable. 

This ended up being the worst shampoo and conditioner I've ever used, I'm not sure I can finish it. It leaves a film on my hair, makes it LESS soft, and more limp and weighed down. Same with the leave in conditioner. It feels oily, not hydrating. 

The scent also smells kind of like guava... on fire. There's a smokiness. I don't hate it, but it's definitely smoky rather than tropical or fruity. I want to love Ceremonia! I keep getting hit with ads and thinking maybe I'll try again and I just bought the wrong thing... but then I wash my hair and I am reminded how terrible the experience has been. Better off with drugstore shampoo!

I'm so bummed! I wanted to love this brand and buy everything-- the marketing, packaging, and messaging all really sucked me in. The scents and line-up definitely enticed me and felt up my alley. I thought this would be a slam dunk!


I received a Ceremonia gift card for Christmas and now I am addicted. The papaya scalp scrub and deep conditioning mask have almost completely eliminated my scalp psoriasis. The Pequi curl activator is my favorite product- it leaves my curls voluminous and hydrated all day. I also like the curl refresher.  

Love the scalp oil! Feels really nourishing and I feel like it helped bring some life into my hair. I do wish their other products were more hydrating, like the Guava leave-in conditioner. Nonetheless, great brand and excited to try more stuff. 

Purchased both the hair/scalp oil and the curl activator. I'm pretty minimalist when it comes to hair care. I do not want to have a 5 step post shower routine, I want to wash and apply a product or two and go. The curl activator was fine. I applied it right after the shower and it did what all of these creams basically do, it provided some definition and smoothness to my curls. It wasn't great or terrible, just fine. There was nothing in the results to distinguish it from a drug store brand.

The scalp oil I wound up using for second and 3rd day hair to reduce frizz. I never really got into the habit or rubbing it on my scalp before a shower, but I do like using a dropperful on the long ends on days 2 or 3 or 4. I don't really notice a scent. 

I like supporting Latinx owned brands, and I did enjoy this but there were also no major results that separated this from anything else decent that I've tried. 

Love that it's clean! I don't love the scents, but their deep conditioning mask is unreal in how good it is! 

love the guava rescue spray, use it all the time and almost finished the bottle! it has quite sweet smell but i got used to it. haven't gotten into the routine of using the aceita de moska hair oil but when i have used it, i haven't noticed much difference. overall nice design and am interested in trying their conditioner.

I actually love how strong the scents are! Adore their very unique take on the usual “butter cream / cake batter” scents. I did try the mask, leave in and gel. 
Mask: my favorite out of the three- I have to note that I co-sign about the product not being very moisturizing and while they show many different types of curls ( which is great as an Afro-Latina! And many like me) I would recommend these products for 3b and down- as I know they need less heavy moisture than 3C and up. I do however love the mask as a detanglar- works knots and tangles out in under 15 minutes for my 3C-4A medium length hair. 
Leave in: okay this product is fabulous with a denman paddle brush! Crazyyy slip! And as a high porosity girlie the added protein keeps my hair very happy. But again with the moisture lock… it last maybe 2 days alone and about 3-4 when layered. 
The gel: does not mix with literally anything but the line leave in! Not other products I own not even the guava leave in by them that I have. It’s also VERYYYY light- I’m going to compare it to BREAD’s new gel. 
All in all loved the packaging and ingredients and marketing and I would use it as a “hotel treat” something to revel in but not buy consistently.
