Calirosa Tequila is made using the finest blue agave in Jalisco, the birthplace of tequila. While most tequilas are aged in whiskey barrels, our distillery uses prized red wine barrels to give Calirosa its smooth taste and signature
rosa glow.
In the 1940s, the legendary Real family of Amatitán, Jalisco mistakenly received wine barrels instead of whiskey barrels. They decided to use them for aging their tequila and voila, Rosa was born. The family has been making prized Rosa Tequila ever since. Don Roberto and Don Fernando Real, along with their master distillery, Luis Trejo Rodriguez (a third-generation tequila maker), now craft every batch of award-winning Calirosa.
